Roland Halbe studied photography at IED in Cagliari, Italy and has been a freelance architectural photographer since 1988. He has been co-founder of Artur Images, Europe’s biggest picture library for architecture photography, in 1995. His work is represented there since then. Roland Halbes work has been shown internationally in group exhibitions at prominent galleries in Germany and Spain. He was the commissioned photographer for the exhibition On-Site: New Architecture in Spain held at MoMA in NYC in 2006. Roland Halbe has been official photographer of TCA Louvre, Abu Dhabi in 2017 and of Qsar al Hosn cultural center, Abu Dhabi in 2018. His photographs are published in all major architecture magazines such as Casabella (IT), Architectural Record (USA), Architectural Review (GB), Interior Design (USA), Detail (GER), Bauwelt (GER), El Mercurio (CL), A+U (JAP), Blueprint (GB), Architektur aktuell (A) and by many architectural book publishers like TASCHEN, Phaidon, Thames & Hudson and others. His client list includes Morphosis Architects, Zaha Hadid Architects, MeierPartners, Ateliers Jean Nouvel, Odile Decq, Santiago Calatrava, Coop Himmelb(l)au, among other important architecture firms. Roland Halbe lives in Stuttgart, Germany. His qualified back office studiomanagement is run by Jennifer Buehling.
